Britney Spears' pop comeback is complete - she's back on top of the U.S. charts thanks to a record-breaking sales week.

The singer's "Womanizer" tune has scored the biggest chart jump to number one in Billboard Hot 100 history after rocketing up 95 spots from last week's 96 to get there.

It's the first time Spears has been on top since her debut single ..."Baby One More Time" hit number one at the beginning of 1999.

The feat marks the third time in the past two months that the record for the biggest jump to number one has been shattered - rapper T.I. soared 70 spots with his "Whatever You Like" at the beginning of September, and he toppled himself last week when he took his Rihanna duet "Live Your Life" from 80 to one.

Womanizer tops the new chart thanks to download sales of 286,000 - the biggest opening-week tally by a female artist since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking digital downloads in 2003.
